Time to give thanks

What is Jesus saying personally to me today -Time to give thanks

God wants our hearts, he wants us to come to him because of love and love alone. He gives us every opportunity to do this, without cohesion, with our free will, with our hearts in the right position with the right intentions. This has value and meaning above all things.

Thank you for speaking to me Jesus

How do I respond to what Jesus is saying personally to me today?

I have been procrastinating on doing a fast for thanksgiving to God for the last week. To do nothing but offer up my gratitude to Jesus for all that he is and does for me and the world. I realise that I probably go to God with many requests and not as much just to be with him and to be grateful. So no more putting it off, this is a week of grateful fasting, of being mindful of his presence, a time to give thanks.

Glory and praise to you lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you for everyone and everything.
From the sea, to the mountains, for all creation is made by you.
You love me beyond my knowledge
and I just want to thank you over and over again.

Psalm 49(50):8-9,16-17,21,23

To the upright I will show the saving power of God.
‘I find no fault with your sacrifices,
your offerings are always before me.
I do not ask more bullocks from your farms,
nor goats from among your herds.
To the upright I will show the saving power of God.
‘But how can you recite my commandments
and take my covenant on your lips,
you who despise my law
and throw my words to the winds,
To the upright I will show the saving power of God.
‘You do this, and should I keep silence?
Do you think that I am like you?
A sacrifice of thanksgiving honours me
and I will show God’s salvation to the upright.’
