Grace and Grace alone

What is Jesus saying personally to me today -grace and Grace alone

I recently wrote an account of my life for a book just published, I could have saved myself some time and just cut and paste this reading and it would have been a perfect representation of my life. Grace is such a mysterious and unearnt gift it’s hard to get your head around it most of the time. When it does happen it is important not to claim a personal victory or responsibility of any form of success. In fact, it is the perfect time for gratitude for we are saved by grace and grace alone.

Thank you for speaking to me Jesus

How do I respond to what Jesus is saying personally to me today?

I do not know or understand how God works but I do know that he is always at work in my life. While it is spiritually quiet, or it feels this way, or when it is not obvious that God is present it is important for me to be grateful. I know he is here, that Jesus is looking over me even if I can’t see it right now, so I will be grateful in advance, not in retrospect or hindsight. A day of gratitude today.

I am saved through your grace and your grace alone.
I have little to do with it but if you can open my heart just that little bit more, I would be grateful.
I thank you Jesus for this love that you so generously shower upon me

Ephesians 2:1-10

You were dead through the crimes and the sins in which you used to live when you were following the way of this world, obeying the ruler who governs the air, the spirit who is at work in the rebellious. We all were among them too in the past, living sensual lives, ruled entirely by our own physical desires and our own ideas; so that by nature we were as much under God’s anger as the rest of the world. But God loved us with so much love that he was generous with his mercy: when we were dead through our sins, he brought us to life with Christ – it is through grace that you have been saved – and raised us up with him and gave us a place with him in heaven, in Christ Jesus.
This was to show for all ages to come, through his goodness towards us in Christ Jesus, how infinitely rich he is in grace. Because it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith; not by anything of your own, but by a gift from God; not by anything that you have done, so that nobody can claim the credit. We are God’s work of art, created in Christ Jesus to live the good life as from the beginning he had meant us to live it.
